Our Story
Tudy’s kitchen was the place to be back in the day. Everyone in the block would come to 295 to see Tudy. Funny as hell, she knew everyone and was the life of the party. But best believe, the main reason they were there was for her fried chicken.
Roots running deep in Harlem, NYC, this is where the founder’s family has called home for three generations now. And like many Black families, the kitchen, seated around their red table, was the heart of their home. The space where everyone came together to celebrate and forget their troubles for, if nothing else, a few short hours.
Watching Grandma Tudy in action, with no recipes or measurements, was a sight to see. How she was able to consistently make each and every meal to perfection was nothing short of magic.
Cooking with instinct, while freestyling with ingredients, is how we flow at Tudy’s Kitchen. Sweet and salty is our jam. Herbs with cookie dough - yes please. Chicken and waffles?
Yep, we went there.
